Flat Poly Bags
Poly bags are lightweight, flexible plastic bags commonly used to protect, store, and package a wide variety of products. Made from durable polyethylene, they provide excellent protection from dust, dirt, and moisture while allowing the contents to remain visible for easy identification. Poly bags are widely used in warehouses, manufacturing, retail, and shipping operations for packaging parts, apparel, food products, and other items that require clean, reliable protection during storage and transit.
Poly bag thickness is measured in mils, with one mil equal to one thousandth of an inch (0.001"). The mil thickness determines the bag’s strength, durability, and resistance to tearing or puncturing. Thinner bags, such as 1–2 mil, are commonly used for lightweight items or short-term storage, while 2–3 mil bags provide added durability for general packaging and warehouse use. Heavier bags, typically 4 mil and above, offer increased strength and puncture resistance, making them suitable for heavier products, sharp items, or applications where extra protection is needed during handling and shipping.
Quick note:
Flat poly bags are clear, open-ended polyethylene bags designed for simple and versatile product packaging. They provide lightweight protection from dust, dirt, and moisture while allowing contents to remain visible for easy identification.

Low Density Polyethylene Flat Bags
Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) bags are the most commonly used plastic bag because they provide excellent protection and excellent value. Polyethylene bags are made from virgin materials, so they comply with FDA requirements for use in food applications.
Tuf-R LLDPE Flat Bags
Tuf-R® Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) bags provide extra strength and puncture resistance compared to Low Density bags of the same gauge. Because of this, it's often possible to use a lighter gauge Tuf-R® bag to do the job of a heavier gauge LDPE bag, which saves money and helps to reduce the environmental impact. Tuf-R® bags are made from virgin materials, so they comply with FDA requirements for use in food applications.
